Who runs this site. This site is operated by Mikhael Felker, an independent security, privacy and AI governance advisor. Questions about this policy or your information go to mike@mikhaelfelker.com.
Who this site is for. This site and my advisory services are intended for organizations based in the United States. They are not offered to, or directed at, individuals or organizations in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland.
What I collect directly. This site has no forms, comments or accounts. If you email me or book a call, I receive what you send, such as your name, email address and the content of your message or booking. I use it only to respond, schedule and, if we work together, run the engagement.
Hosting and site statistics. This site is hosted on WordPress.com, operated by Automattic. To serve pages, measure performance and provide basic visitor statistics (Jetpack Stats), Automattic collects technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring site, and may set cookies. Gravatar scripts also load from Automattic. I see aggregate statistics, not individual visitor profiles. Automattic describes its practices in its Privacy Notice for visitors to its users’ sites and its Cookie Policy.
Email and scheduling. Email sent to me is handled by Google Workspace. The “Book an intro call” link opens a Google Calendar booking page, and the details you enter there are processed by Google under its terms.
No advertising tracking. I don’t run ads or use advertising or social media tracking pixels, and I don’t sell or share personal information, including as those terms are defined under California law.
Retention. I keep correspondence only as long as needed to respond and to meet business, legal and tax record obligations.
Your choices and requests. You can ask what personal information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, by emailing mike@mikhaelfelker.com. I’ll respond within 45 days and won’t treat you differently for asking. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser; the site works without them.
Security. I use reasonable safeguards for the information I hold, but no website, email or transmission is perfectly secure.
Other sites. Links to GitHub, LinkedIn, Google and other sites are governed by those sites’ own privacy policies.
Children. This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 16.
Changes. If this policy changes, I’ll update the date at the top of this page.
